Answers to your burning questions about returns, replacements, and refunds with Walmart. More recently, the only chance of seeing Nurmagomedov return to the Octagon seems to lie in Georges St. Nurmagomedov has long admired “GSP,” and the two have publicly chased a super. However, there has been chatter in recent months about a GSP comeback. The reason being, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wants this fight, and so do the fans. However, there appear to be too many hurdles to climb to make that happen, as White once again shot down any sort of rumors about a GSP return. Silva and GSP have been linked to a superfight for the ages since 2009, but a variety of challenges have always kept the fight from becoming a reality. With both men generally disinterested in a title return, and with Anderson Silva’s suspension for Thai sex steroids (or whatever) set to expire relatively soon, there are no real barriers.
Triangle Centers
by Kristina Dunbar, UGA
In this assignment, we will be investigating4 different triangle centers: the centroid, circumcenter, orthocenter, and incenter.
The centroid of a triangle is constructed bytaking any given triangle and connecting the midpoints of eachleg of the triangle to the opposite vertex. The line segmentcreated by connecting these points is called the median. You see the three medians as the dashed lines in the figure below.
No matter what shape your triangle is, thecentroid will always be inside the triangle. Youcan look at the above example of an acute triangle, or the belowexamples of an obtuse triangle and a right triangle to see thatthis is the case.
The centroid is the center of a trianglethat can be thought of as the center of mass. Itis the balancing point to use if you want to balance a triangleon the tip of a pencil, for example.

The circumcenter is the center of the circlesuch that all three vertices of the circle are the same distanceaway from the circumcenter. Thus, the circumcenter is thepoint that forms the origin of a circle in which all three verticesof the triangle lie on the circle. Thus, the radius of thecircle is the distance between the circumcenter and any of thetriangle's three vertices. It is found by finding the midpointof each leg of the triangle and constructing a line perpendicularto that leg at its midpoint. Where all three lines intersectis the circumcenter.
The circumcenter is not always inside the triangle. In fact, it can be outside the triangle, as in the case of anobtuse triangle, or it can fall at the midpoint of the hypotenuse of a right triangle. See the pictures belowfor examples of this.
You see that even though the circumcenter isoutside the triangle in the case of the obtuse triangle, it isstill equidistant from all three vertices of the triangle.

The orthocenter is the center of the trianglecreated from finding the altitudes of each side. The altitudeof a triangle is created by dropping a line from each vertex thatis perpendicular to the opposite side. An altitude of thetriangle is sometimes called the height. Remember, the altitudesof a triangle do not go through the midpoints of the legs unlessyou have a special triangle, like an equilateral triangle.
Like the circumcenter, the orthocenter doesnot have to be inside the triangle. Check out the casesof the obtuse and right triangles below. In the obtuse triangle, the orthocenter falls outside the triangle. In a right triangle, the orthocenter falls on a vertex of the triangle.

The incenter is the last triangle center wewill be investigating. It is the point forming the originof a circle inscribed inside the triangle. Like the centroid, the incenter is always inside the triangle. It is constructedby taking the intersection of the angle bisectors of the threevertices of the triangle. The radius of the circle is obtainedby dropping a perpendicular from the incenter to any of the trianglelegs. It is pictured below as the red dashed line.
To see that the incenter is in fact alwaysinside the triangle, let's take a look at an obtuse triangle anda right triangle.

Linda gray. There is an interesting relationship betweenthe centroid, orthocenter, and circumcenter of a triangle.
- The centroid, orthocenter, and circumcenter all fall in a straight line.
- The centroid is always between the orthocenter and the circumcenter.
- The distance between the centroid and the orthocenter is always twice the distance between the centroid and the circumcenter.
- In obtuse triangles, the circumcenter is always outside the triangle opposite the largest angle. The orthocenter is always outside the triangle opposite the longest leg, on the same side as the largest angle.
- The only time all three of these centers fall in the same spot is in the case of an equilateral triangle. In fact, in this case, the incenter falls in the same place as well.
